Telephony Server Platform

The Telephony Server is built upon Touchstar Software's telephony server platform, which is housed in an industrial PC containing industry standard voice/call processing components. At the heart is a software layer that directly controls the telephony hardware and communicates with computer network applications. This layer is pre-programmed to provide predictive dialing, automatic call distribution (ACD), recording, monitoring and playback. Telescript is integrated with the telephony server, enabling you to seamlessly control and manage inbound and outbound campaigns from any Telescript administrative screen.

The Telephony functions as both an inbound ACD and outbound dialer. A PBX is not necessary to successfully implement basic inbound functionality. Nevertheless, the Telephony Server can integrate with most industry PBXs. Agents can use a single switch phone for all inbound PBX calls, and still draw on the Telephony Server for predictive or super-dialing. Telescript connects to most PBXs, using industry standard protocols (TAPI and TSAPI) to link to PBXs. Successful implementations include Lucent, Nortel, Mitel, Siemens, Comdial, and many more.
